Hi, my name is Neha Ghosh and I shuttle between Mumbai and Hamburg. I am a Health and Wellness Writer, Blogger, Certified Nutrition and Diet Therapist, Recipe Creator, Runner and Yoga Instructor. My wellness journey started 15 years ago when I started reporting for a local health and wellness publication.
Even though I formally studied advertising and worked for a long time in the corporate world, I was always inclined towards helping people lead an ailment free life. I followed my desire for service, and somewhere between juggling a hectic career, I managed to complete an intensive course in Nutrition and Diet Therapy and officially started counselling clients. I truly believe that wellness is not a destination but an everyday process, and even the smallest step matters. That’s why, I teach my clients how to eat well without compromising on taste, ways to use mindfulness in everyday life and to focus on the mind, as well the body.
I started my blog Put That Cheese Burger Down six years ago because I had ideas I wanted to share with my readers. And last year, I finally bid farewell to my corporate life, earned my yoga teachers training certificate, started writing and helping wellness seekers, full time. Even though my blog is called Put That Cheese Burger Down (don’t be fooled by the name!), I am a passionate foodie and consider eating, one of the biggest joys of my life. That’s why I modify everyday recipes to be a slightly healthier and tastier version of itself because I don’t believe in depriving myself. After all, food should be enjoyed and not shunned.
I believe and teach that life is made of small, joyous moments and everything is happening NOW. All you need to do is to be aware of who you are, pay attention to how you feel, accept yourself and then, begin your journey of transformation.
