Since early 2001, I have researched and written scientifically-backed exercise tips and training plans.
When it comes to fitness, the Web is littered with subjective opinion, sweeping generalisations and lots (lots!) of hype.
I'm a strong believer in evidence-based content - content that is backed up by scientific research. That's why you'll see a list of references at the bottom of most of my articles.
In simple terms, what you read in my articles is NOT simply my personal opinion - it's what I have interpreted as the conclusions of sports scientists around the world.
These scientists don't have ulterior motives, they aren't trying to sell you a magic pill and they aren't in the back pocket of a large supplement company. Well, mostly.
I have a degree in Sports Science and have worked with clients around the world as a personal trainer.
I've been fortunate enough to work with a wide range of people from very different ends of the fitness spectrum. Through promoting positive health changes with diet and exercise, I have helped patients recover from aging-related and other otherwise debilitating diseases.
I spend most of my time these days writing fitness-related content of some form or another. I still like to work with people on a one-to-one basis - I just don't get up at 5am to see clients anymore.
