Amber is a restaurant chef and food blogger who resides in both her home state of California, U.S.A.  and Queensland, Australia. She holds a background and education in the Culinary Arts and has worked in many kitchens throughout the past 10 years from dishwasher to lead cook.

Her experience outside of the kitchen  as a food writer, food columnist and assistant food stylist for cook book, magazine and web publications inspired her to start her own blog, Amby Cakes, where she teaches others how to cook her native California-Mexican cuisine while sharing what she is learning about the cuisines in other parts of the world she visits and resides in.

Also an avid gamer and veteran guitarist of 20 years, that is how Amber spends her free time when she isn’t cooking or writing recipes. She also enjoys learning as much as possible about food photography and hopes to add that to her professional arsenal.

Above all, being a fulltime mom is the most important and rewarding title she can hold!
